Wolfe Island holds my family’s precious Irish and Canadian history, along with my heart, in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, not far from the United States.
I’ve been chasing Canadian family history in Ontario since 2022, about my Irish Walsh family living on the largest island in the Thousands Island Archipelago named Wolfe Island. I’ve received two grants from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council to help me uncover my Canadian and Irish Roots.
